Lamagaon is beautiful Himalayan village at foothill of
Singalila National Park, as name suggest Lama Gaon means village of Lamas. This
is located only 30 kms away from tourist hub/town Darjeeling very near of Bijanbari (13 kilometers). From here you can witness first light of
day on Kanchenjunga as like mirror, different varieties of birds on tree and obviously
various orchids. This Himalayan village located about 7,000 ft. above sea
level. In the night entire village looks like a paradise, under deep cloud
magical starts will be visible.

Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri
(NJP), directly connected with Kolkata and rest of India. Direct flights also
available up to Bagdogra (IXB). The Lamagaon village located around 103 kms
away from Siliguri through Rohini, Kurseong and Ghoom. Direct car/taxis available
from Siliguri (SNT)/Bagdogra/NJP and it may cost around 4K, depending on
season. Share jeep also available from Siliguri to Ghum (Rs.250/person), from
there take an exclusive care up to Lamagaon (cost around 2K).

Lamagaon can be visited throughout the year except monsoon, but best season is summer (April to June) and again late September to late December.
