Chataidhura | A pristine village near Lepchajagat
Chataidhura is a small Himalayan hamlet located in
wilderness at an altitude of 6,956 ft. above sea level, and only 18kms away
from Darjeeling hill town. Although it's quite close to Darjeeling's main hub.
If you are a nature lover or looking for a romantic stay for couple of days,
then Chataidhura is the place for you. Hawaghar View Point is must visit
destination at Chataidhura, from here you can have a look of Mt. Kanchenjunga,
Darjeeling town, Sandakphu, Samdupche of South Sikkim. The village located just
few kms after Ghum and just before Lepchajagat.
Other attractions of Chataidhura are Ghum (Ghoom) railway station, Ghoom
monastery, Tiger Hill & Ghoom rock. Chataidhura village gets mild snowfall in winter of 2019,
entire village was covered with white ice sheet.

Our associate homestay in Chataidhura is best option for accommodation.
Currently we have total two number of rooms. In each rooms there are two beds
among them one king size and another one single bed. One room have western
toilet and bath with geyser (hot water facility) in two rooms.
We provide delicious local food, our tariff starts from ₹.1,200/person/day with all foods (includes
morning tea, breakfast, lunch evening tea and dinner).
Child Policy: child below 5 years is complementary, 5 -10
year 50% of tariff and above 10 years is full of tariff.
How to Reach
Chataidhura
Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) and
nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB). It will take around 2.5 hrs from
Siliguri/NJP/airport to reach at Chataidhura through Kurseong, and Ghoom, distance
around 70 kms from Siliguri. Direct car/jeep also available to homestay, we
provide car rental service and sightseeing tour. Share jeep/car also available
from Siliguri junction terminal to Ghum railway station (Siliguri-Darjeeling bound
Jeeps) then take an exclusive car to our homestay it will take around 15 -20 minutes.
Call us directly for pick-up/drop and sightseeing tours to Darjeeling, Mirik,
Kalimpong and other nearby places.
Best Season to Visit
Chataidhura
Chataidhura is one of the places which can be throughout
the year, summer is pleasant and mild. In winter temperature goes down around
minus, in 2019 (winter) the village gets number of snowfall days. September –
April is best time to visit Chataidhura for its crystal clear weather and ever
green forests.
