Sangla is a city in Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in Baspa valley. If you are looking for a mind inebriate break from your busy and boring city life then come to Sangla and live couple days of your life.           Take a short trek (around 2 K.M.) on by mountain trail and reach to ancient Kamru Fort, one of the oldest forts of Himachal. Those who are traveling with car Kamru Fort is worth little bit of effort to find it out. The temple of Kamakhya Devi and a small museum are here, into this tower shaped fort.

          One the way to Kamru Fort you can find Badrinath Temple and a Buddhist temple or small monastery. Go to Berinag temple near Sangla bus stand on your foot, if you are staying near the stand. The wooden craft design of this temple is mind blowing and we will love this definitely.

How to Reach Sangla

Sangla situated from 240 K.M. away from capital city of Himachal, Shimla, a different road goes to Sangla from Karcham and distance of Sangla from Karcham is only 20 K.M. Booking an exclusive car is best option to visit this entire Kinnaur region, due to no or less bus accessibility.

          Nearest domestic airport is Bhuntar airport, minimum 3 hrs. drive to Sangla and nearest international airport is New Delhi. Daily car and bus services are available from Delhi to Shimla, Manali and Karcham.

Nearest railway station is Kalka; well connected to all major cites of India, Kalka to Shimla toy train ride will be a good idea.

Best Season to Visit Sangla

Best time to visit Sangla, Himachal is summer (April to May) or in autumn September to November. Although weather of Sangla valley is pleasant throughout the year, but winter will be bit of harsh.
