Tawang |

Tawang is one of the beautiful hill station of India, located at 10,250 ft. above sea level and situated around 180 km from Bomdila. Tawang is the only Himalayan town which located at very high altitude after Ladakh. This town has so much historical value as well as sensitive area in terms of security of country.

          Tawang monastery is a must see and one of the main attraction in the town, it was built in 17th century by Lama Lodre Gyaltso. The monastery situated on the top of the hill and it is visible from the many areas of Tawang town, from here you can get superb panoramic view of the whole town. Main attraction of the monastery is a large beautiful Buddha statue.

          Next day morning go for a full day sightseeing tour to Penga Teng Tso Lake (also known as P T Tso) – a high altitude lake, located around 25 km from Tawang town. Tawang War Memorial – an historical place for Indo – China war (1962) and a place for salute our Heroes (Indian Army). On next day visit Bum La Pass, Madhuri lake, an special permit is required to visit here.
