Doban is an offbeat destination and River valley at
confluence of the river Rangpo and river Reshi. The Doban village is a serene
place away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Nestled between the two
valleys and two states (Sikkim & West Bengal), this place is an ideal
location for a home away in the nature. You can have bonfire, picnic by the
riverside and the rushing sound of the river is really soothing.
You can sit on the river bank for all day, walk in the
forest, can try fishing in the river, take a bath in the river, campfire at
night. If you don't want to do anything, you can merge with the nature. From
here it is also close to visit Aritar, Mankhim, Kalimpong in sightseeing tour.

at Doban Valley, Sikkim. Currently we have total 8 numbers of rooms/cottages by
the river bed. Each room provides a wide view of river bed along with nearby
low mountains. All rooms are with attached western bath and hot water facility.
Tariff starts Rs.1,200/person with all food/day.
Child below 5 years is complementary, child age 5 – 10 half
of tariff & above tariff is full chargeable.
How to Reach
Doban valley
Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) located
around 85 km away from Doban Valley, it will take around 3.5 hrs to reach
through Siliguri – Melli – Rangpo. Nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB) located
around 95 kms from Doban Valley, Sikkim. Direct reserve car is best option for
Doban from airport, after reaching at Rorathang Bridge take 2 km River Road to
reach Doban Homestay.
If you
looking for cheap or budget friendly option to reach Doban Valley then take
shared jeep to Rangpo from Kalimpong, fare aprox. Rs.200/head. Then book a
reserve a car for Dovan valley. Also you can call homestay or us to take you
from Rangpo, Rorathang Bridge, Kalimpong and Gangtok with very nominal charge.
