Suntalekhola (সুনতালে খোলা), a small picturesque village in western region of Dooars in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The most attractive tourist spot of Samsing, Suntalekhola and Rocky Island circuit, situated on 2900 ft. above sea level, and distance from Samsing only 5 K.M. The name Suntalekhola derived from two Nepali words, Suntaley means oranges and Khola means streams in Nepali speaking communities.

He can guide you through the short route to reach Mouchuki, be aware of leeches in every step. How to Reach Suntalekhola

Nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP), distance 85 K.M, another nearest railway station is New Mal Jn. distance around 43 K.M. NJP well connected to all major cities of India, especially with Kolkata. Only Kanchan Kanya Express runs between Sealdah (SDAH) Kolkata to New Mal directly. You can avail cars from NJP or New Mal Jn. to Samsing via Malbazar, Chalsha and Mettali, book a car from Mettali to Suntalekhola. Also you can take bus from Siliguri bus stand or from P.C. Mittal bus stand to Samsing directly fare will be around Rs.65 – Rs.75, frequent buses from Malbazar also available to Samsing, then take a car to Suntalekhola, or ask locals to drop you Suntalekhola with little extra money.

          For budgeted tour you can catch Bamanhat passenger train to Chalsa from New Mal jn. distance is around 9 K.M. From Chalsa take local vehicle or shared jeep to Meteli and fare would be around Rs.15 to Rs.20. From Meteli take another local transport or shared jeep to Samsing & ask the driver to drop you Suntalekhola.
