Malbazar- one of the important and sub-divisional town of North Bengal and gateway to western Dooars region. The easiest way is train from Kolkata (Sealdah), Kanchankanya express runs daily to New Mal Jn, departs on 08.30 pm and reach New Mal on next day morning around Jn. around 09.10 am. Distance of Malbazar from New Mal Jn. only one and half K.M.
Malbazar not a typical tourist spot, it’s a normal town, and travellers are used to this town as a gateway to different region of Dooars and Rishyap or Rishop. Lots of famous tea gardens will be visible after crossing Malbazar market area, the greenery spreads across the mile, best breathtaking views will memorizing for a life time. Main attraction of Malbazar is ‘Mal Udyan’ (Mal garden) built and maintained by forest department of West Bengal government, so many rare vegetation and flowers can be seen here, you can spend tour evening hare to listen twittering of birds. If gardening is your hobby, then you can collect number of pot plants as your choice with very minimum price.

W.B. government’s tourism development corporation. Birding is one of the best time pass on from
rooftop of lodge. The cafeteria of tourist lodge has good reputation,
travellers are takes a break at cafeteria while crossing Malbazar.
Another accommodation option is ‘Hotel Kasturi’ adjacent of
Malbazar bus stand, also guest house run by Malbazar municipality also
available with reasonable price, but advance booking is must.
How to Reach
Malbazar
You can reach directly
to Malbazar from Kolkata by Kanchankanya train. Malbazar can be reached from
New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station, and NJP well connected with rest of the
country. Numbers of buses are available from NJP and Siliguri station and distance
from Siliguri about 55 K.M, regular bus service also available from Siliguri
Mittal Memorial bus stand, you can catch any bus toward Dooars (Lataguri,
Samsing, and Birpara, Alipurduar etc.) to reach Malbazar.
