By Air -
Jolly Grant Airport from Delhi to Dehradun is the
nearest airport in the state and is connected to Delhi by regular flights. The
state is also accessible through the Pantnagar Inland Airport in the Kumaon
region.
By Train -
From Sealdah or Howrah Railway Station you can take the
Dehradun Express and get off directly at Rishikesh or Dehradun. The state has
only 345 km long railway line. Kathgodam railway station is at the junction of
the North-Eastern Railway, 35 km from Nainital. It connects Nainital with
Dehradun, Delhi and Howrah. The state also has railway stations at Pantnagar,
Lalkunya and Haldowani. Dehradun and Haridwar railway stations are well
connected to other cities in the country. There are railway tracks at
Rishikesh, Ramnagar and Kotdwar.
By Road -
Reaching Delhi, then Joshimath, some cars, the rest of
the road ropeway can be reached Auli!
The state has a well-coordinated road network of 26,508
km, of which 1,326 km are national roads and 1,543 km are state roads. The
Uttarakhand Transport Corporation is the main mode of transport in the state
with many private transport directors. The state can be reached by road from
all the major cities of the country.
