Harsil is a small village in the state of Uttarakhand near Gangotri. This is basically the main place of the army. Harsil is located on the banks of the river Ganges. This Harsil falls on the way to Gangotri. It is 26 km away from Gangotri. It is located in Uttarkashi district. Its height from sea level is 60 feet. The Bhagirathi river has passed by it. Harsil is a wonderful village rich in apple trees. Here very high quality rajma is cultivated. It is very beautiful all around. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, there are fountains flowing from there. You can enjoy the extraordinary beauty that cannot be expressed in the language here. Although the place is still not known to tourists in that way. There is a Tibetan village or settlement called Mukhwas village near Harsil. Just 6-7 minutes’ walk from Harsil you will reach the beautiful Tibetan village. Trekking on a road from here to Himachal Pradesh. The road on the opposite side went straight towards the army camp. You can enjoy most of the day by chasing the surrounding rivers, mountains, valleys and the surrounding beauty. This is probably called heaven. The beauty of Harsil spreads through the trees, hills and the gurgling sound of the Bhagirathi River. The place is like a hidden gem. Lots of tourists think so. Three streams of water are present here. There is a river named Jalandhari flowing next to it which later fell into Bhagirathi River.
